Since the company began regular customers will know all the products that are available from hollyandtheivy.co.uk have always been slightly different from the standard preserves that are normally available from Farmers Markets and supermarkets. Lin also likes to keep ahead of things and create new culinary experiences for new and old customers and thus is in the process of creating a range of Chutneys using "smoked" ingredients.
Although getting hold of smoked Garlic for example is easily sourced from the many smokery company's that are around, getting fruits and vegetables smoked is another thing. Having a very good relationship with Alan from Bing's Heath Smokery comes to the rescue and has agree to smoke the items Lin will require.
The new Chutney line will be ready in about 6 - 8 weeks so until then the exact products are under wraps says Lin, but when completed will be announced on this site and will be available from our on-line shop and Farmers Market we attend.

Dont forget this Wednesday it is the Farmers Market at Birmingham University where a we will be selling a range of our products along with other fellow Farmers and producers from around the local area. The Farmers Market is located ouside the main entrance to the unerversity main building from 9:00 14:00. SEE YOU THEIR !!!!

hollyandtheivy.co.uk has been commisioned to create a Chutney to commemorate the Stafford International Town Crier Tournament 2008 which will be held in the Market Square Stafford on the 9th August 2008 and will be hosted by Peter Taunton Stafford Town Crier and assisted by his wife and escort Maureen.

The Chutney will be Fruity yet Spicy says Lin like ALL TOWN CRIERS !!!!
